saying, “Rise, take (paralabe | παράλαβε | aor act imperative 2 sg) the child and his mother, and go to the land of Israel, for those who were seeking the child’s life are dead.”
After they had gone, an angel of the Lord appeared in a dream to Joseph, saying, “Rise, take (paralabe | παράλαβε | aor act imperative 2 sg) the child and his mother, flee to Egypt, and stay there until I tell you; for Herod is going to search for the child to destroy him.”
But as he pondered this, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take (paralabein | παραλαβεῖν | aor act inf ) Mary as your wife; for that which has been conceived in her is by the Holy Spirit.
To them it was revealed that not to themselves, but to you, they were ministering these things that now have been announced to you through those who preached to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven — things into which angels long to look (parakypsai | παρακύψαι | aor act inf ).
But the person who looks intently (parakypsas | παρακύψας | aor act ptcp nom sg masc) into the perfect law, the law that provides liberty, and continues in it, not having become a forgetful hearer but an active doer — he will be blessed in his doing.
