Then it goes and takes (paralambanei | παραλαμβάνει | pres act ind 3 sg) along seven other spirits more evil than itself, — seven of them! — and after going in they settle down to live there. So the last state of that person has become worse than the first.”

About eight days after these sayings, it happened that he went up on the mountain to pray, taking (paralabōn | παραλαβών | aor act ptcp nom sg masc) along Peter and John and James.

When the apostles returned they recounted to Jesus all they had done; and he took (paralabōn | παραλαβών | aor act ptcp nom sg masc) them and withdrew privately to a town called Bethsaida.

And he took (paralambanei | παραλαμβάνει | pres act ind 3 sg) along Peter and James and John with him, and began to be distressed and troubled.

Now they were on the road, going up to Jerusalem, and Jesus was going on ahead of them. They were filled with awe, but those who followed behind were afraid. And taking (paralabōn | παραλαβών | aor act ptcp nom sg masc) the twelve aside again, he began to tell them the things that were going to happen to him:

And after six days Jesus took (paralambanei | παραλαμβάνει | pres act ind 3 sg) with (paralambanei | παραλαμβάνει | pres act ind 3 sg) him Peter and James and John, and led them up a high mountain by themselves. And he was transfigured before them,

They do not eat anything from the marketplace unless it is purified by washing. And there are many other customs that they have received (parelabon | παρέλαβον | aor act ind 3 pl) as tradition to keep, like the washing of cups, pots, and copper bowls, and dining couches.)

And they began to ridicule him. But when he had put them all out, he took (paralambanei | παραλαμβάνει | pres act ind 3 sg) the father of the child and her mother and those who were with him and went in where the child was.

So after leaving the crowd, they took (paralambanousin | παραλαμβάνουσιν | pres act ind 3 pl) him with (paralambanousin | παραλαμβάνουσιν | pres act ind 3 pl) them, just as he was, in the boat. And other boats were with him.

Then the governor’s soldiers took (paralabontes | παραλαβόντες | aor act ptcp nom pl masc) Jesus into the praetorium and gathered the entire garrison around him.
