They were demonic spirits, performing (poiounta | ποιοῦντα | pres act ptcp nom pl neut) signs, who go out to the kings of the whole world to assemble them for battle on the great day of God the Almighty.
And he said with a loud voice, “Fear God and give him glory, because the hour of his judgment has come, and worship him who made (poiēsanti | ποιήσαντι | aor act ptcp dat sg masc) heaven and earth, the sea and the springs of water.”
He (poiei | ποιεῖ | pres act ind 3 sg) also caused (poiei | ποιεῖ | pres act ind 3 sg) everyone — small and great, rich and poor, free and slave — to receive a mark on their right hand or on their forehead.
The second beast was allowed to animate the image of the first beast so that the image of the beast could speak, and could cause (poiēsē | ποιήσῃ | aor act subj 3 sg) all those who would not worship the image of the beast to be killed.
and by the signs he was allowed to (poiēsai | ποιῆσαι | aor act inf ) perform (poiēsai | ποιῆσαι | aor act inf ) on behalf of the beast, he deceived those who live on the earth. He told them to make (poiēsai | ποιῆσαι | aor act inf ) an image in honor of the beast who had been wounded by the sword yet lived.
He performed (poiei | ποιεῖ | pres act ind 3 sg) impressive signs, even making (poiē | ποιῇ | pres act subj 3 sg) fire come down from heaven in the sight of everyone;
He (poiei | ποιεῖ | pres act ind 3 sg) exercised (poiei | ποιεῖ | pres act ind 3 sg) all the authority of the first beast on his behalf, and made (poiei | ποιεῖ | pres act ind 3 sg) the earth and those who live in it to worship the first beast, the one whose deadly wound had been healed.
The beast was allowed to make (poiēsai | ποιῆσαι | aor act inf ) war against the saints and to conquer them. And he was given authority over every tribe and people and language and nation.
The beast was given a mouth to speak arrogant words and blasphemies, and he was allowed to (poiēsai | ποιῆσαι | aor act inf ) exercise (poiēsai | ποιῆσαι | aor act inf ) authority for forty-two months.
So the dragon became furious with the woman and went off to make (poiēsai | ποιῆσαι | aor act inf ) war against the rest of her children, those who keep the commandments of God and hold to the testimony of Jesus.
