And when he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were distressed and dejected, like sheep without a shepherd (poimena | ποιμένα | acc sg masc).
From his mouth extends a sharp sword so that with it he can strike down the nations. He will rule (poimanei | ποιμανεῖ | fut act ind 3 sg) them with a rod of iron. He will tread the winepress of the furious wrath of God the Almighty.
So the woman gave birth to a son, a male child, who is going to rule (poimainein | ποιμαίνειν | pres act inf ) all the nations with an iron rod; but her child was taken up to God and to his throne.

These people are blemishes on your love-feasts, feasting with you without reverence, caring (poimainontes | ποιμαίνοντες | pres act ptcp nom pl masc) only for (poimainontes | ποιμαίνοντες | pres act ptcp nom pl masc) themselves. They are waterless clouds, swept along by winds; autumn trees without fruit and uprooted — completely dead;
shepherd (poimanate | ποιμάνατε | aor act imperative 2 pl) the flock of God among you, watching over it — not because you have to, but voluntarily, as God would have it; not for shameful gain but eagerly.
Who serves in the army at his own expense? Who plants a vineyard and does not eat its fruit? Or who tends (poimainei | ποιμαίνει | pres act ind 3 sg) a flock and does not drink of its milk?
Watch out for yourselves and for all the flock in which the Holy Spirit has placed you overseers, to shepherd (poimainein | ποιμαίνειν | pres act inf ) the church of God, which he purchased with the blood of his own Son.
He said to him again, a second time, “Simon, son of John, do you love me?” He said to him, “Yes, Lord, you know that I love you.” Jesus said to him, “Look (poimaine | ποίμαινε | pres act imperative 2 sg) after my sheep.”
