Parthians and Medes and Elamites and residents of Mesopotamia, Judea and Cappadocia, Pontus (Ponton | Πόντον | acc sg masc) and Asia,

I urge you, in the presence of God who gives life to all things and Christ Jesus who witnessed in the time of Pontius (Pontiou | Ποντίου | gen sg masc) Pilate the good confession,

For truly there were gathered together in this city against your holy servant Jesus, whom you anointed, both Herod and Pontius (Pontios | Πόντιος | nom sg masc) Pilate, along with the Gentiles and the peoples of Israel,

In the fifteenth year of the reign of Tiberius Caesar, when Pontius (Pontiou | Ποντίου | gen sg masc) Pilate was governing Judea, and Herod was tetrarch of Galilee and Philip his brother tetrarch of the region of Ituraea and Trachonitis, and Lysanias was tetrarch of Abilene,

And finding a certain Jew named Aquila, a native of Pontus (Pontikon | Ποντικόν | acc sg masc), recently come from Italy with his wife Priscilla because Claudius had commanded all the Jews to depart from Rome, he approached them,

He will wipe away every tear from their eyes. Death will be no more, mourning and crying and pain (ponos | πόνος | nom sg masc) will be no more, for the former things have passed away.”

and cursed the God of heaven for their pain (ponōn | πόνων | gen pl masc) and sores, but they would not repent of their deeds.

The fifth angel poured out his bowl on the throne of the beast, and his kingdom was plunged into darkness. People gnawed their tongues in pain (ponou | πόνου | gen sg masc)

For I bear him witness For him that he works (ponon | πόνον | acc sg masc) tirelessly works (ponon | πόνον | acc sg masc) for you and for those in Laodicea and in Hierapolis.

So the first angel went and poured out his bowl on the earth, and a repulsive and malignant (ponēron | πονηρόν | nom sg neut) sore broke out on everyone who bore the mark of the beast and who worshiped his image.
