Now I, Paul myself, appeal to you by the meekness (prautētos | πραΰτητος | gen sg fem) and gentleness of Christ — I who when present am “timid” among you, but when away am “bold” toward you.
but let it be the inner person of the heart, the unfading beauty of a gentle (praeōs | πραέως | gen sg neut) and tranquil spirit, which in the sight of God is precious.
“Say to the daughter of Zion, ‘Behold, your king is coming to you, humble (praus | πραΰς | nom sg masc) and mounted on a donkey, and on a colt, the foal of a beast of burden.’”
But you, man of God, flee these things and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance, gentleness (praupathian | πραυ&παθίαν | acc sg fem).
Make it your aim to lead a quiet life, to attend to (prassein | πράσσειν | pres act inf ) your own affairs, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you.
What you have learned and received and heard and seen in me — put (prassete | πράσσετε | pres act imperative 2 pl) these things into practice (prassete | πράσσετε | pres act imperative 2 pl), and the God of peace will be with you.
