And going a short distance beyond them, he threw face (prosōpon | πρόσωπον | acc sg neut) himself face (prosōpon | πρόσωπον | acc sg neut), to the ground, praying, “My Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me! Yet not as I will but as you will.”

And they sent their disciples to him along with the Herodians, saying, “Teacher, we know that you are true and teach the way of God in truth, and show deference to no one, for you are not swayed by appearances (prosōpon | πρόσωπον | acc sg neut).

“See that you do not despise one of these little ones. For I tell you that their angels in heaven always see the face (prosōpon | πρόσωπον | acc sg neut) of my Father who is in heaven.

And when the disciples heard this, they were overcome with fear and fell face down (prosōpon | πρόσωπον | acc sg neut) on the ground.

And he was transfigured before them, and his face (prosōpon | πρόσωπον | nom sg neut) shone like the sun, and his clothes became white as light.

and in the morning, ‘It will be stormy today, for the sky is red and threatening.’ You know how to interpret the appearance (prosōpon | πρόσωπον | acc sg neut) of the sky, but you cannot evaluate the signs of the times?

This is the one about whom it stands written, ‘Behold, I send my messenger ahead of you (prosōpou | προσώπου | gen sg neut), who will prepare your way before you.’

But when you fast, anoint your head with oil and wash your face (prosōpon | πρόσωπον | acc sg neut),

“And when you fast, do not put on a gloomy face as the hypocrites do, for they disfigure their faces (prosōpa | πρόσωπα | acc pl neut) so that they will appear to others as fasting; I tell you the truth, they have their reward.

My brothers, stop showing favoritism (prosōpolēmpsiais | προσωπολημψίαις | dat pl fem) as you live out your faith in our glorious Lord Jesus Christ.
