John’s disciples came and took the corpse (ptōma | πτῶμα | acc sg neut) and buried it; then they went and told Jesus.

After saying this, he spat (eptysen | ἔπτυσεν | aor act ind 3 sg) on the ground and made mud with his saliva; then he daubed the mud on the man’s eyes

And taking the hand of the blind man, he led him outside the village. Then, after moistening (ptysas | πτύσας | aor act ptcp nom sg masc) the eyes of the blind man with (ptysas | πτύσας | aor act ptcp nom sg masc) saliva (ptysas | πτύσας | aor act ptcp nom sg masc) and laying his hands on him, Jesus asked him, “What do you see?”

Taking him aside from the crowd privately, Jesus put his fingers into the man’s ears, and after spitting (ptysas | πτύσας | aor act ptcp nom sg masc), he touched his tongue.

When he had rolled (ptyxas | πτύξας | aor act ptcp nom sg masc) the scroll and given it back to the attendant, he sat down. And the eyes of everyone in the synagogue were fixed on him.

and are in no way frightened (ptyromenoi | πτυρόμενοι | pres pass ptcp nom pl masc) by your opponents. This is a sign of destruction for them, but of salvation for you — and that from God.

And having completed the voyage from Tyre, we came to Ptolemais (Ptolemaida | Πτολεμαΐδα | acc sg fem), and we greeted the brothers and stayed one day with them.
