For if a man comes into your congregation wearing a gold ring and fine clothes, and a poor man (ptōchos | πτωχός | nom sg masc) in dirty clothes also comes in,

But now that you have come to know God — or rather, are known by God — how can you turn back again to the feeble and inferior (ptōcha | πτωχά | acc pl neut) elementary principles of the world? How can you want to be their slaves all over again?

They asked only that we should continue to remember the poor (ptōchōn | πτωχῶν | gen pl masc), the very thing I too was eager to do.

as sorrowing, yet always rejoicing; as poor (ptōchoi | πτωχοί | nom pl masc), yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing everything.
