Therefore, when I was summoned, I came without raising any objection.

and called out to ask (epynthanonto | ἐπυνθάνοντο | imperf mid ind 3 pl) whether Simon who was called Peter was staying there.

And having set them in the midst, they began to inquire (epynthanonto | ἐπυνθάνοντο | imperf mid ind 3 pl), “By what power or by what name did you do this?”

So Simon Peter motioned to him to ask (pythesthai | πυθέσθαι | aor mid inf ) Jesus who it was of whom he had spoken.

So he asked (epytheto | ἐπύθετο | aor mid ind 3 sg) them what time it was when his son got better, and they said to him, “Yesterday at the seventh hour the fever left him.”

When he heard a crowd going by, he inquired (epynthaneto | ἐπυνθάνετο | imperf mid ind 3 sg) what this might be.

So calling one of his servants, he asked (epynthaneto | ἐπυνθάνετο | imperf mid ind 3 sg) what this might be.

and gathering all the ruling priests and scribes of the people, he inquired (epynthaneto | ἐπυνθάνετο | imperf mid ind 3 sg) of them where the Messiah was to be born.

Blessed are those who wash their robes, so they will have the right to the tree of life and may enter the city by its gates (pylōsin | πυλῶσιν | dat pl masc).

On no day will its gates (pylōnes | πυλῶνες | nom pl masc) ever be closed, since there will be no night there.
