And having set them in the midst, they began to inquire (epynthanonto | ἐπυνθάνοντο | imperf mid ind 3 pl), “By what power or by what name did you do this?”
So he asked (epytheto | ἐπύθετο | aor mid ind 3 sg) them what time it was when his son got better, and they said to him, “Yesterday at the seventh hour the fever left him.”
and gathering all the ruling priests and scribes of the people, he inquired (epynthaneto | ἐπυνθάνετο | imperf mid ind 3 sg) of them where the Messiah was to be born.
Blessed are those who wash their robes, so they will have the right to the tree of life and may enter the city by its gates (pylōsin | πυλῶσιν | dat pl masc).
