For as I went around and observed your objects (sebasmata | σεβάσματα | acc pl neut) of worship, I found also an altar on which was inscribed, ‘To an unknown god.’ So what you worship without knowing, this I proclaim to you.
They exchanged the truth of God for a lie and worshiped (esebasthēsan | ἐσεβάσθησαν | aor pass ind 3 pl) and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.
