“Teacher, Moses wrote for us that if someone’s brother should die and leave behind a wife, but not leave behind a child, the brother should take the widow and raise up offspring (sperma | σπέρμα | acc sg neut) for his brother.
It is like a mustard seed mustard that, when it is sown in the ground, is smaller than all of the seeds (spermatōn | σπερμάτων | gen pl neut) on earth.
Now there were seven brothers among us; the first one married and died, and since he had no children (sperma | σπέρμα | acc sg neut), he left his wife to his brother.
They said, “Teacher, Moses said, ‘If a man dies having no children, his brother must marry the widow and raise up children (sperma | σπέρμα | acc sg neut) for his brother.’
and the field is the world; and as for the good seed (sperma | σπέρμα | nom sg neut), these are the sons of the kingdom; and the weeds are the sons of the evil one;
It is the smallest of all the seeds (spermatōn | σπερμάτων | gen pl neut); but when it is grown, it is larger than all the garden plants and becomes a tree so that the birds of the air come and nest in its branches.”
