Only conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ, so that, whether I come and see you or remain away, I may hear that you are standing firm in one spirit, striving (synathlountes | συναθλοῦντες | pres act ptcp nom pl masc) side (synathlountes | συναθλοῦντες | pres act ptcp nom pl masc) by (synathlountes | συναθλοῦντες | pres act ptcp nom pl masc) side (synathlountes | συναθλοῦντες | pres act ptcp nom pl masc) with (synathlountes | συναθλοῦντες | pres act ptcp nom pl masc) one mind for the faith of the gospel,

Now I urge you, brethren, by our Lord Jesus Christ and by the love of the Spirit, to join (synagōnisasthai | συναγωνίσασθαι | aor mid inf ) me in fervent prayer to God on my behalf,

Behold, I will make those of the synagogue (synagōgēs | συναγωγῆς | gen sg fem) of Satan who claim to be Jews and are not, but lie — I will make them come and bow down before your feet and understand that I have loved you.

I know your affliction and your poverty (but you are rich), and the slander against you by those who call themselves Jews and are not, but are a synagogue (synagōgē | συναγωγή | nom sg fem) of Satan.

For if a man comes into your congregation (synagōgēn | συναγωγήν | acc sg fem) wearing a gold ring and fine clothes, and a poor man in dirty clothes also comes in,

And I punished them often in all the synagogues (synagōgas | συναγωγάς | acc pl fem) and tried to make them blaspheme; and since I was so vehemently angry at them, I pursued them even to foreign cities.

and they did not find me arguing with anyone or stirring up a crowd, either in the temple or in the synagogues (synagōgais | συναγωγαῖς | dat pl fem) or in the city.

And I said, ‘Lord, they themselves know that I used to go from one synagogue to another imprisoning and flogging those who believed in you.

And he went into the synagogue (synagōgēn | συναγωγήν | acc sg fem) and spoke boldly for three months, reasoning and persuading them concerning the things of the kingdom of God.

He began to speak boldly in the synagogue (synagōgē | συναγωγῇ | dat sg fem), but when they heard him, Priscilla and Aquila took him and explained more accurately to him the way of God.
