And when they heard this, they entered the temple at daybreak and began to teach. But when the high priest came, and those who were with him, they called together the council (synedrion | συνέδριον | acc sg neut) and all the elders of the sons of Israel and they sent to the prison to have them brought before them.

But commanding them to go outside the council (synedriou | συνεδρίου | gen sg neut), they discussed the matter with one another,

So the chief priests and the Pharisees gathered the Council (synedrion | συνέδριον | acc sg neut) together and said, “What are we going to do? For this man is performing many signs.

And when day came, the council of elders of the people was assembled, both chief priests and scribes, and they had Jesus brought into their council (synedrion | συνέδριον | acc sg neut) chamber

As soon as it was morning, the ruling priests, after holding a consultation with the elders and scribes and the entire council (synedrion | συνέδριον | nom sg neut), bound Jesus, led him away, and handed him over to Pilate.

Now the ruling priests and the entire council (synedrion | συνέδριον | nom sg neut) were seeking testimony against Jesus to put him to death, but they were not finding any.

But watch out for yourselves; they will deliver you over to local councils (synedria | συνέδρια | acc pl neut), and in synagogues you will be beaten, and before governors and kings you will be made to stand for my sake, to bear witness to them.

Now the ruling priests and the entire Sanhedrin (synedrion | συνέδριον | nom sg neut) were looking for false testimony against Jesus so they could put him to death,

And beware of men, for they will hand you over to the courts (synedria | συνέδρια | acc pl neut), and they will flog you in their synagogues;

But I say to you that anyone who is angry with his brother will be liable to judgment; and whoever says to his brother, ‘Raka,’ will be liable to the council (synedriō | συνεδρίῳ | dat sg neut); and whoever says, ‘You fool!’ will be liable to the hell of fire.
