What then is the outcome, brothers? When you come together (synerchēsthe | συνέρχησθε | pres mid subj 2 pl), each one has a hymn, a word of instruction, a revelation, a tongue, an interpretation. Let all things be done for edification.
So if the whole church assembles (synelthē | συνέλθῃ | aor act subj 3 sg) in the same place and everyone is speaking in tongues, and outsiders or unbelievers come in, will they not say that you are out of your minds?
If anyone is hungry, he should eat at home, so that when (synerchēsthe | συνέρχησθε | pres mid subj 2 pl) you (synerchēsthe | συνέρχησθε | pres mid subj 2 pl) come (synerchēsthe | συνέρχησθε | pres mid subj 2 pl) together (synerchēsthe | συνέρχησθε | pres mid subj 2 pl) it does not lead to judgment. I will give directions about other matters when I come.
For in the first place, I hear that when you gather (synerchomenōn | συνερχομένων | pres mid ptcp gen pl masc) as a church there are divisions among you, and in part I believe it,
But in giving the following instructions I do not commend you, because when (synerchesthe | συνέρχεσθε | pres mid ind 2 pl) you (synerchesthe | συνέρχεσθε | pres mid ind 2 pl) come (synerchesthe | συνέρχεσθε | pres mid ind 2 pl) together (synerchesthe | συνέρχεσθε | pres mid ind 2 pl) it is not for the better but for the worse.
And it happened that after three days Paul called together the leaders of the Jews. And when they gathered (synelthontōn | συνελθόντων | aor act ptcp gen pl masc), he said to them: “My brothers, though I have done nothing against our people or the customs of our fathers, yet I was delivered as a prisoner from Jerusalem into the hands of the Romans.
So when they met (synelthontōn | συνελθόντων | aor act ptcp gen pl masc) here, I made no delay, but on the next day took my seat on the judge’s bench and ordered the man to be brought.
But on the next day, wanting to know for sure what was the accusation being made against him by the Jews, he released him and ordered the chief priests and all the council to (synelthein | συνελθεῖν | aor act inf ) meet (synelthein | συνελθεῖν | aor act inf ), and he brought Paul down and set him before them.
