And in her was found the blood of prophets and of saints, and of all who have been slain (esphagmenōn | ἐσφαγμένων | perf pass ptcp gen pl masc) on the earth.”
And all those living on the earth will worship him, everyone whose name has not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb who was slain (esphagmenou | ἐσφαγμένου | perf pass ptcp gen sg neut) from the foundation of the world.
One of the beast’s heads appeared to have been mortally wounded (esphagmenēn | ἐσφαγμένην | perf pass ptcp acc sg fem), but his deadly wound had been healed. The whole world marveled as they followed the beast.
And when he opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain (esphagmenōn | ἐσφαγμένων | perf pass ptcp gen pl masc) for the word of God and for the witness they had borne.
And out came another horse, bright red; and its rider was allowed to take peace from the earth so that men should (sphaxousin | σφάξουσιν | fut act ind 3 pl) slay (sphaxousin | σφάξουσιν | fut act ind 3 pl) one another, and a great sword was given to him.
saying with a loud voice, “Worthy is the Lamb who was slain (esphagmenon | ἐσφαγμένον | perf pass ptcp nom sg neut), to receive power and wealth and wisdom and might and honor and glory and praise!”
And they sang a new song, saying, “Worthy are you to take the scroll and to open its seals, for you were slain (esphagēs | ἐσφάγης | aor pass ind 2 sg), and by your blood you ransomed people for God from every tribe, language, people, and nation.
