Now the birth of Jesus Christ took place in this way: When his mother Mary was pledged in marriage to Joseph, before they had come together, she was found to be with child by the Holy (hagiou | ἁγίου | gen sg neut) Spirit.
elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father by being set apart (hagiasmō | ἁγιασμῷ | dat sg masc) by the Spirit for obedience and for sprinkling with the blood of Jesus Christ. May grace and peace be yours in ever increasing measure.
But we ought always to thank God for you, brothers loved by the Lord, because God chose you as first fruits for salvation, by sanctification (hagiasmō | ἁγιασμῷ | dat sg masc) of the Spirit and belief in the truth.
But you are of him in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification (hagiasmos | ἁγιασμός | nom sg masc) and redemption,
But now, freed from sin and enslaved to God, the fruit you get leads to sanctification (hagiasmon | ἁγιασμόν | acc sg masc), and its outcome, eternal life.
