We have this hope as an anchor (ankyran | ἄγκυραν | acc sg fem) for life, both sure and steadfast — a hope that enters the inner shrine behind the veil,
So they cut loose the anchors (ankyras | ἀγκύρας | acc pl fem), left them in the sea, and at the same time untied the ropes that held the rudders. Then hoisting the foresail to the wind, they made for the beach.
But when the sailors tried to escape from the ship and had lowered the dinghy into the sea pretending they intended to let down anchors (ankyras | ἀγκύρας | acc pl fem) from the bow,
Fearing that we might run aground on the rocky coast, they dropped four anchors (ankyras | ἀγκύρας | acc pl fem) from the stern and prayed for day to come.

so as to establish your hearts blameless in holiness (hagiōsynē | ἁγιωσύνῃ | dat sg fem) before our God and Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus with all his saints.
Since then we have these promises, dear friends, let us cleanse ourselves from every defilement of flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness (hagiōsynēn | ἁγιωσύνην | acc sg fem) in the fear of God.
