and when it was full, they pulled it up onto the shore (aigialon | αἰγιαλόν | acc sg masc); and they sat down and put the good fish into baskets, but the bad they threw away.
And great crowds gathered around him so that he got into a boat and sat down, and all the crowd stood on the beach (aigialon | αἰγιαλόν | acc sg masc).
They were stoned; they were sawn in two; they were murdered by the sword. They went about in sheepskins and goatskins (aigeiois | αἰγείοις | dat pl neut), destitute, persecuted, mistreated
So when Pilate saw that he was getting nowhere but rather that a riot was starting, he took water and washed his hands before the crowd, saying, “I am innocent (athōos | ἀθῷος | nom sg masc) of this man’s blood; it is your responsibility.”
So they got up that very hour and returned to Jerusalem, where they found the eleven and those with them gathered (ēthroismenous | ἠθροισμένους | perf pass ptcp acc pl masc) together,
Instead, remember those former days in which, after you had received the light, you weathered such a difficult struggle (athlēsin | ἄθλησιν | acc sg fem) with suffering.
So Paul, standing in the midst of the Areopagus, said: “Men of Athens (Athēnaioi | Ἀθηναῖοι | voc pl masc), I perceive that in every way you are a very devout people.
