He who has an ear, let him hear (akousatō | ἀκουσάτω | aor act imperative 3 sg) what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who conquers, I will give the right to eat from the tree of life, which is in the paradise of God.
Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy, and those who hear (akouontes | ἀκούοντες | pres act ptcp nom pl masc) and keep what is written in it, for the time is near.
And this is love: that we walk according to his commandments. This is the commandment, just as you have heard (ēkousate | ἠκούσατε | aor act ind 2 pl) from the beginning, that you should walk in it.
And if we know that he hears (akouei | ἀκούει | pres act ind 3 sg) us regarding whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of him.
And this is the confidence we have as we approach him: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears (akouei | ἀκούει | pres act ind 3 sg) us.
We are from God. The person who knows God listens (akouei | ἀκούει | pres act ind 3 sg) to us, but whoever is not from God does (akouei | ἀκούει | pres act ind 3 sg) not listen (akouei | ἀκούει | pres act ind 3 sg) to us. By this we know the Spirit of truth and the spirit of error.
They are of the world; therefore they speak from the world’s perspective and the world listens (akouei | ἀκούει | pres act ind 3 sg) to (akouei | ἀκούει | pres act ind 3 sg) them.
but every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you heard (akēkoate | ἀκηκόατε | perf act ind 2 pl) was coming, and now is already in the world.
