who saved us and called us to a holy calling, not because of our works but because of his own purpose and grace (charin | χάριν | acc sg fem), which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time eternal,
I continually thank (charin | χάριν | acc sg fem) God, whom I serve, as did my ancestors, with a clean conscience, as unceasingly I remember you in my prayers night and day,
I continually thank (charin | χάριν | acc sg fem) him who strengthened me, Christ Jesus our Lord, since he considered that even I would be faithful, as evidenced by his appointing me to service,
Now may our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who has loved us and given us eternal encouragement and good hope by grace (chariti | χάριτι | dat sg fem),
so that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in you, and you in him, according to the grace (charin | χάριν | acc sg fem) of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.
