Some of them thought, since Judas used to keep the money box, that Jesus had said to him, “Buy what we need (chreian | χρείαν | acc sg fem) for the festival,” or that he should give something to the poor.

Jesus said to him, “The one who has bathed has no need (chreian | χρείαν | acc sg fem) to wash, except for his feet, but is clean all over. And you men are clean, but not all of you.”

and because he had no need (chreian | χρείαν | acc sg fem) that anyone should give evidence concerning man, for he himself knew what was in man.

Then they said, “What further need (chreian | χρείαν | acc sg fem) do we have of a witness? we have heard it ourselves from his own lips.”

And they said, “Because the Lord has need (chreian | χρείαν | acc sg fem) of it.”

If someone asks you why are you untying it, you shall say this: ‘The Lord has need (chreian | χρείαν | acc sg fem) of it.’”
