Because Christ (Christos | Χριστός | nom sg masc) also suffered once for our sins, the righteous on behalf of the unrighteous, that he might lead you to God. He was put to death in the flesh but made alive in the spirit,

but in your hearts set apart Christ (Christon | Χριστόν | acc sg masc) as Lord, being ready at all times to make a defense to all who ask you for a word concerning the hope that is in you.

For to this you have been called, because Christ (Christos | Χριστός | nom sg masc) also suffered for you, leaving behind for you an example so that you might follow in his footsteps.

you also, like living stones, are being built up as a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ (Christou | Χριστοῦ | gen sg masc).

but by precious blood, as of a lamb without blemish or spot, the blood of Christ (Christou | Χριστοῦ | gen sg masc).

Therefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober-minded, and set your hope completely on the grace that will be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ (Christou | Χριστοῦ | gen sg masc).
