And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us discernment so that we may know him who is true; and we are in him who is true, in his Son Jesus Christ (Christō | Χριστῷ | dat sg masc). This one is the true God and eternal life.

This is the one who came by water and blood — Jesus Christ (Christos | Χριστός | nom sg masc); not by water only but by water and blood. And the Spirit is the one who testifies, because the Spirit is the truth.

Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ (Christos | Χριστός | nom sg masc) has been born of God, and everyone who loves the father loves his child.

This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ (Christon | Χριστόν | acc sg masc) has come in the flesh is from God,

And this is his commandment: that we believe in the name of his Son Jesus Christ (Christou | Χριστοῦ | gen sg masc) and love one another, just as he gave us the commandment.

Who is the liar but the one who denies that Jesus is the Christ (Christos | Χριστός | nom sg masc)? This one is the Antichrist, the one who denies the Father and the Son.

My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ (Christon | Χριστόν | acc sg masc) the righteous one.

that which we have seen and heard we proclaim also to you, so that you too may have fellowship with us; and indeed our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son Jesus Christ (Christou | Χριστοῦ | gen sg masc).

But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ (Christou | Χριστοῦ | gen sg masc). To him be the glory both now and in the eternal day. Amen.

For if after they have escaped the defilements of the world through the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ (Christou | Χριστοῦ | gen sg masc), they are again entangled in them and overcome, the last state has become for them worse than the first.
