So the word of the Lord was being spread throughout the whole region (chōras | χώρας | gen sg fem).

Now Herod was very angry with the Tyrinians and the Sidonians, and with one accord they came to him and when they had persuaded Blastus, who was in charge of the bed-chamber of the king, they asked for peace because their country’s (chōran | χώραν | acc sg fem) food-supply was provided by the king’s country.

And we are witnesses of all that he did both in the country (chōra | χώρᾳ | dat sg fem) of the Jews and in Jerusalem, whom also they put to death by hanging him on a tree.

Now Saul was in agreement with his execution. There arose on that day a great persecution against the church in Jerusalem, and they were all scattered throughout the regions (chōras | χώρας | acc pl fem) of Judea and Samaria, except the apostles.

Now the Passover of the Jews was near, and many went up to Jerusalem from the country (chōras | χώρας | gen sg fem) prior to the Passover to purify themselves.

Jesus therefore no longer walked about openly among the Jews, but went from there to the region (chōran | χώραν | acc sg fem) near the wilderness, to a town called Ephraim, and he stayed there with his disciples.

Do you not say, ‘There are still four months and then comes the harvest’? But I tell you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields (chōras | χώρας | acc pl fem); they are white, ready for harvest.

Then those who are in Judea must flee to the mountains, and those in the midst of the city must evacuate, and those in the country (chōrais | χώραις | dat pl fem) must not enter it,

So he said, “A certain noble went to a distant country (chōran | χώραν | acc sg fem) to acquire royal power for himself and then to return.

So he went and hired himself out to one of the citizens of that country (chōras | χώρας | gen sg fem), and he sent him into his fields to feed pigs.
