But when they came to Jesus and saw that he was already dead, they did not break his legs.

Now it was the day of Preparation for the Passover, about (hōs | ὡς | particle) noon. Pilate said to the Jews, “Here is your king!”

When (hōs | ὡς | conj) Jesus said to them, “I am he,” they all drew back and fell to the ground.

If anyone does not abide in me, he is like (hōs | ὡς | particle) a branch that is thrown away and withers; men gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned.

Then Jesus said to them, “The light will be with you for yet a little while. Keep walking while (hōs | ὡς | conj) you have the light, so that the darkness will not overtake you. The one who walks in the darkness does not know where he is going.

When (hōs | ὡς | conj) Jesus saw her weeping, and the Jews who had come with her weeping, he was deeply moved in his spirit and greatly distressed.

When (hōs | ὡς | conj) Mary came to where Jesus was and saw him, she fell at his feet, saying to him, “Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died.”

So when (hōs | ὡς | conj) Mary heard this, she got up quickly and went to him.

So when (hōs | ὡς | conj) Martha heard that Jesus was coming, she went out to meet him, but Mary remained in the house.
