When (hōs | ὡς | conj) the angel who spoke to him had gone away, he called two of his servants and a devout soldier from among those who waited on him,
And as (hōs | ὡς | conj) they traveled along the road they came to some water; and the eunuch said, “Look! Water! What prevents me from being baptized?”
Now the passage of scripture the man was reading was this: “As (hōs | ὡς | particle) a sheep to the slaughter he was led, and as (hōs | ὡς | conj) a lamb dumb before its shearer, so he opens not his mouth.
“You stiff-necked people, uncircumcised in heart and ears! You are always resisting the Holy Spirit. As (hōs | ὡς | conj) your fathers were, so also are you.
This is the Moses who said to the sons of Israel, ‘God will raise up a prophet for you from among your brothers, as (hōs | ὡς | particle) he raised up me.’
For before these days there rose up Theudas, saying that he himself was someone, and a number of men, about (hōs | ὡς | particle) four hundred, joined him. He was killed, and all, as many as followed him, were dispersed, and the movement came to nothing.
