So when Pilate saw that he was getting nowhere but rather that a riot was starting, he took water and washed his hands before the crowd (ochlou | ὄχλου | gen sg masc), saying, “I am innocent of this man’s blood; it is your responsibility.”

But the ruling priests and the elders persuaded the crowds (ochlous | ὄχλους | acc pl masc) to ask for Barabbas and to have Jesus executed.

Now at festival time the governor was accustomed to release one prisoner for the crowd (ochlō | ὄχλῳ | dat sg masc), whomever they wanted.

At that time Jesus said to the crowds (ochlois | ὄχλοις | dat pl masc), “Have you come out with swords and clubs to capture me as though I were a robber? Every day I sat in the temple teaching, and you did not arrest me.

While he was still speaking, Judas, one of the twelve, arrived accompanied by a large crowd (ochlos | ὄχλος | nom sg masc) from the ruling priests and the elders of the people, armed with swords and clubs.

Then Jesus spoke to the crowds (ochlois | ὄχλοις | dat pl masc) and to his disciples,

And when the crowd (ochloi | ὄχλοι | nom pl masc) heard this, they were astounded at his teaching.

And although they wanted to arrest him, they were afraid of the crowds (ochlous | ὄχλους | acc pl masc) because they held him to be a prophet.

But if we say, ‘From man,’ we are afraid of the crowd (ochlon | ὄχλον | acc sg masc), for they hold that John was a prophet.”

And the crowds (ochloi | ὄχλοι | nom pl masc) said, “This is the prophet, Jesus from Nazareth of Galilee.”
