saying, “We (parēngeilamen | παρηγγείλαμεν | aor act ind 1 pl) gave (parēngeilamen | παρηγγείλαμεν | aor act ind 1 pl) you a strict order to stop teaching in this name. Yet you have filled Jerusalem with your teaching, and you intend to bring on us the blood of this man.”

So they (parēngeilan | παρήγγειλαν | aor act ind 3 pl) called them and ordered (parēngeilan | παρήγγειλαν | aor act ind 3 pl) them not to speak or teach at all in the name of Jesus.

While he was with them, he ordered (parēngeilen | παρήγγειλεν | aor act ind 3 sg) them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to await the promise of the Father, which, he said, “you heard from me;

Then, with a warning, he commanded (parēngeilen | παρήγγειλεν | aor act ind 3 sg) them to tell no one this,

Her parents were astonished; but he ordered (parēngeilen | παρήγγειλεν | aor act ind 3 sg) them to tell no one what had happened.

For Jesus had commanded (parēngeilen | παρήγγειλεν | aor act ind 3 sg) the unclean spirit to come out of the man; for many times it had seized him and he was kept under guard and bound with chains and shackles, yet he would break his bonds and be driven by the demon into the desert.

Then Jesus ordered (parēngeilen | παρήγγειλεν | aor act ind 3 sg) the man to tell no one: “Go, rather, and show yourself to the priest and make an offering for your cleansing, just as Moses commanded as a testimony to them.”

And going outside, they fled from the tomb, for trembling and astonishment had taken hold of them. And they said nothing to anyone, for they were afraid.

So he directed (parangellei | παραγγέλλει | pres act ind 3 sg) the crowd to sit down on the ground. Taking the seven loaves and giving thanks, he broke them and gave them to his disciples to distribute. So they distributed the bread to the crowd.

He instructed (parēngeilen | παρήγγειλεν | aor act ind 3 sg) them to take nothing for their journey except simply a staff simply — no bread, no bag, no money in their belts money —
