I urge (parangellō | παραγγέλλω | pres act ind 1 sg) you, in the presence of God who gives life to all things and Christ Jesus who witnessed in the time of Pontius Pilate the good confession,
Just as I urged you to stay on in Ephesus while I was traveling to Macedonia, so that you might command (parangeilēs | παραγγείλῃς | aor act subj 2 sg) certain people not to continue teaching any different doctrine

Make it your aim to lead a quiet life, to attend to your own affairs, and to work with your own hands, as we (parēngeilamen | παρηγγείλαμεν | aor act ind 1 pl) commanded (parēngeilamen | παρηγγείλαμεν | aor act ind 1 pl) you.
