and have committed apostasy (parapesontas | παραπεσόντας | aor act ptcp acc pl masc), to restore them to repentance, since to their own harm they are crucifying the Son of God again and exposing him to public shame.
For who were they who heard and rebelled (parepikranan | παρεπίκραναν | aor act ind 3 pl)? Were they not really all those who came out of Egypt led by Moses?
But he was rebuked for his own transgression (paranomias | παρανομίας | gen sg fem) — a dumb donkey, speaking with the voice of a man, restrained the madness of the prophet.
Then Paul said to him, “God is about to strike you, you whitewashed wall! Do you indeed sit judging me according to the law yet contrary (paranomōn | παρανομῶν | pres act ptcp nom sg masc) to the law order me to be struck?”
So if there is any encouragement in Christ, if any comfort (paramythion | παραμύθιον | nom sg neut) from love, if any fellowship in the Spirit, if any affection and compassion,
On the other hand, the one who prophesies speaks to people for their edification, encouragement, and consolation (paramythian | παραμυθίαν | acc sg fem).
Now we appeal to you, brothers, admonish the disorderly, comfort (paramytheisthe | παραμυθεῖσθε | pres mid imperative 2 pl) the discouraged, help the weak, be patient toward all.
So we exhorted you, encouraged (paramythoumenoi | παραμυθούμενοι | pres mid ptcp nom pl masc) you, and charged you to conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of God, who calls you into his own kingdom and glory.
