He said, “To you (hymin | ὑμῖν | dat pl 2nd) it has been given to know the secrets of the kingdom of God, but to the rest I speak in parables, so that seeing they may not see, and hearing they may not understand.
They are like children sitting in the marketplace and calling to one another, ‘We played the flute for you (hymin | ὑμῖν | dat pl 2nd), but you did not dance; we wailed in mourning, but you did not weep.’
I tell you (hymin | ὑμῖν | dat pl 2nd), among those born of women there is no one greater than John. Yet the one who is least in the kingdom of God is greater than he.”
When Jesus heard these things, he admired him. Turning to the crowd that was following him, he said, “I tell you (hymin | ὑμῖν | dat pl 2nd), not even in Israel have I found such faith.”
give, and it will be given to you (hymin | ὑμῖν | dat pl 2nd) — good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be poured into your (hymōn | ὑμῶν | gen pl 2nd) lap. For by what measure you measure, it will be measured in return to you.” (hymin | ὑμῖν | dat pl 2nd)
But love your (hymōn | ὑμῶν | gen pl 2nd) enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return. Then your (hymōn | ὑμῶν | gen pl 2nd) reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High, for he is kind to the ungrateful and evil.
