You offspring of snakes! How can you, being evil (ponēroi | πονηροί | nom pl masc), speak good things? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.

And Jesus, knowing their thoughts, said, “Why are you harboring evil (ponēra | πονηρά | acc pl neut) thoughts in your hearts?

A healthy tree cannot bear bad (ponērous | πονηρούς | acc pl masc) fruit, nor can an unhealthy tree bear good fruit.

So, every healthy tree bears good fruit, but the unhealthy tree bears bad (ponērous | πονηρούς | acc pl masc) fruit.

If then you, who are evil (ponēroi | πονηροί | nom pl masc), know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good things to those who ask him!

but if your eye is evil (ponēros | πονηρός | nom sg masc), your whole body will be filled with darkness. If then the light that is in you is darkness, how great is that darkness!

And do not bring us into temptation, but deliver us from the evil (ponērou | πονηροῦ | gen sg neut) one.’

so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven, for he makes his sun rise on the evil (ponērous | πονηρούς | acc pl masc) and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.

But I say to you, do not resist the evildoer (ponērō | πονηρῷ | dat sg neut); but whoever slaps you on the right cheek, turn to him the other as well.

But let what you say be a simple ‘Yes, or ‘No, anything more than this comes from the evil (ponērou | πονηροῦ | gen sg masc) one.
