Blessed are you when others revile you and persecute you and say all kinds of evil (ponēron | πονηρόν | acc sg neut) against you falsely on account of me.
for our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the world rulers of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil (ponērias | πονηρίας | gen sg fem) in the heavenly realms.
So let us celebrate the festival, not with the old leaven, the leaven of malice and wickedness (ponērias | πονηρίας | gen sg fem), but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.
They are filled with every kind of unrighteousness, wickedness (ponēria | πονηρίᾳ | dat sg fem), covetousness, malice. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, meanness. They are gossips,
God, having raised up his servant, sent him to you first, to bless you by turning each one of you from your wicked (ponēriōn | πονηριῶν | gen pl fem) ways.”
The Lord said to him, “Now you Pharisees cleanse the outside of the cup and of the dish; but the inside of you is full of greed and wickedness (ponērias | πονηρίας | gen sg fem).
but deal only with food and drink (pomasin | πόμασιν | dat pl neut) and various ceremonial washings, regulations for the body imposed until the time of correction.
and all drank the same spiritual drink (poma | πόμα | acc sg neut); for they used to drink from the spiritual rock that followed them, and that rock was Christ.
