When he realized this, he went to the house of Mary, the mother of John whose other name was Mark, where there were many gathered together and praying (proseuchomenoi | προσευχόμενοι | pres mid ptcp nom pl masc).
“I was in the city of Joppa, praying (proseuchomenos | προσευχόμενος | pres mid ptcp nom sg masc), and in a trance I saw a vision, an object descending, like a great sheet being let down by its four corners from heaven, and it came close to me.
And Cornelius said, “Four days ago at this hour, I was praying (proseuchomenos | προσευχόμενος | pres mid ptcp nom sg masc) at the ninth hour in my house, and behold, a man stood before me in bright clothing
The following day, as they were on their journey and approaching the city, Peter went up on the housetop to pray (proseuxasthai | προσεύξασθαι | aor mid inf ) about the sixth hour.
But Peter put them all outside, and falling to his knees he prayed (prosēyxato | προσηύξατο | aor mid ind 3 sg); then turning toward the dead body, he said, “Tabitha, get up!” And she opened her eyes, and seeing Peter, she sat up.
Then the Lord told him, “Get up and go to the street called ‘Straight,’ and inquire at the house of Judas for a man from Tarsus named Saul, for even now he is praying (proseuchetai | προσεύχεται | pres mid ind 3 sg),
And they prayed (proseuxamenoi | προσευξάμενοι | aor mid ptcp nom pl masc) and said, “You, Lord, the one who knows the hearts of all, show which one of these two you have chosen
