and more than ever believers were added (prosetithento | προσετίθεντο | imperf pass ind 3 pl) to the Lord, multitudes both of men and women,

praising God, and finding favor with all the people. And the Lord was adding (prosetithei | προσετίθει | imperf act ind 3 sg) to their number day by day those who were being saved.

So those who received his word were baptized, and there were added (prosetethēsan | προσετέθησαν | aor pass ind 3 pl) on that day about three thousand souls.

So he sent a third (prosetheto | προσέθετο | aor mid ind 3 sg); but they wounded this one too, and threw him out.

So he sent another (prosetheto | προσέθετο | aor mid ind 3 sg) servant; but they beat that one as well, treated him shamefully, and sent him away empty-handed.

As they were listening to this, he went (prostheis | προσθείς | aor act ptcp nom sg masc) on to tell a parable, because he was near Jerusalem, and they supposed that the kingdom of God was going to appear at once.

The apostles said to the Lord, “Increase (prosthes | πρόσθες | aor act imperative 2 sg) our faith!”

Instead, have his kingdom as your overriding concern, and these things will be given (prostethēsetai | προστεθήσεται | fut pass ind 3 sg) to you in (prostethēsetai | προστεθήσεται | fut pass ind 3 sg) addition (prostethēsetai | προστεθήσεται | fut pass ind 3 sg).

And which of you by worrying can add (prostheinai | προσθεῖναι | aor act inf ) a single hour to his span of life?

added (prosethēken | προσέθηκεν | aor act ind 3 sg) this also to them all: he confined John in prison.
