So the chief priests and the Jewish leaders (prōtoi | πρῶτοι | nom pl masc) brought formal charges against Paul, begging him

And when they came to him, he said to them: “You yourselves know how I lived among you the whole time from the first (prōtēs | πρώτης | gen sg fem) day on which I set foot in Asia,

And some of them were persuaded and cast their lot with Paul and Silas, both a great number of devout Greeks and not a few of the leading (prōtōn | πρώτων | gen pl fem) women.

and from there to Philippi, which is a leading (prōtē | πρώτη | nom sg fem) city of that district of Macedonia, a Roman colony. We remained in that city for several days.

But the Jews incited the devout women of honorable rank and the leading (prōtous | πρώτους | acc pl masc) men of the city, and they stirred up persecution against Paul and Barnabas, and drove them out of their district.

When they had passed the first (prōtēn | πρώτην | acc sg fem) guard and the second, they came to the iron gate that leads into the city, which of its own accord opened for them, and they went out and went down one street, and immediately the angel left him.

Then the other disciple, the one who had arrived first (prōtos | πρῶτος | nom sg masc), also went into the tomb, and he saw and believed.

The two were running together, but the other disciple ran ahead more quickly than Peter and arrived first (prōtos | πρῶτος | nom sg masc) at the tomb.

So the soldiers came and broke the legs of the first (prōtou | πρώτου | gen sg masc) man, then those of the other one who had been crucified with him.
