Some of the Pharisees asked, “Why do you do what is not lawful on the Sabbath?” (sabbasin | σάββασιν | dat pl neut)

One Sabbath (sabbatō | σαββάτῳ | dat sg neut), as Jesus was going through grainfields, his disciples began to pick some heads of grain, rub them in their hands, and eat them.

And he went down to Capernaum, a city of Galilee. He was teaching them on the Sabbath (sabbasin | σάββασιν | dat pl neut);

He went to Nazareth where he had been brought up and, as was his custom on the Sabbath (sabbatōn | σαββάτων | gen pl neut) day, he went into the synagogue and stood up to read.

Now when Jesus arose early on the first day of the week (sabbatou | σαββάτου | gen sg neut), he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, from whom he had cast out seven demons.

And he said to them, “Is it lawful on the Sabbath (sabbasin | σάββασιν | dat pl neut) to do good or to do evil, to save life or to destroy it?” But they remained silent.

And they were watching him carefully to see if he would heal on the Sabbath (sabbasin | σάββασιν | dat pl neut), he would heal him so they could accuse him.
