So if Satan (satanas | σατανᾶς | nom sg masc) casts out Satan (satanan | σατανᾶν | acc sg masc), he is divided against himself; how then will his kingdom stand?
Then Jesus said to him, “Away with you, Satan! (satana | σατανᾶ | voc sg masc) For it stands written, ‘You shall worship the Lord your God and serve him alone.’”
just as Sarah (Sarra | Σάρρα | nom sg fem) obeyed Abraham, calling him “my lord.” You are her daughters if you do what is right and do not fear any intimidation.
By faith Abraham was enabled to become a father — even though Sarah (Sarra | Σάρρα | nom sg fem) herself was sterile and beyond the normal age of childbearing — because he regarded as faithful the one who had made the promise.
Not being weak in faith, he considered his own body as dead (since he was about a hundred years old), and the barrenness of Sarah’s (Sarras | Σάρρας | gen sg fem) womb.
“Or what woman, who has ten silver coins, should she lose one coin, would not light a lamp, sweep (saroi | σαροῖ | pres act ind 3 sg) the house, and search diligently until she finds it?
Then it says, ‘I will return to my house from which I came.’ And when it arrives, it finds the house unoccupied, swept (sesarōmenon | σεσαρωμένον | perf pass ptcp acc sg masc), and put in order.
