in order that now, through the church, the manifold wisdom (sophia | σοφία | nom sg fem) of God should be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly realms,
that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you a spirit of wisdom (sophias | σοφίας | gen sg fem) and revelation by coming to know more of him.
For our confidence is this, the testimony of our conscience, that with simplicity and sincerity like that of God, and not with earthly wisdom (sophia | σοφίᾳ | dat sg fem) but by the grace of God, we conducted ourselves in the world, and all the more toward you.
For to one is given through the Spirit a message of wisdom (sophias | σοφίας | gen sg fem), to another a message of knowledge according to the same Spirit,
And we speak about these things in words not taught by human wisdom (sophias | σοφίας | gen sg fem) but taught by the Spirit, expressing spiritual truths in spiritual words.
Rather, we speak the wisdom (sophian | σοφίαν | acc sg fem) of God; a wisdom that was hidden in mystery and that God had determined before the ages for our glory.
However, we do speak wisdom (sophian | σοφίαν | acc sg fem) among those who are mature, although it is not the wisdom (sophian | σοφίαν | acc sg fem) of this age or of the rulers of this age, who are doomed to perish.
