At that time Jesus went through the grainfields on the Sabbath; and his disciples were hungry, and they began to pluck heads of grain (stachuas | στάχυας | acc pl masc) and eat.
Then another angel, the one who had authority over the fire, came out from the altar and called with a loud voice to the angel who had the sharp sickle, “Thrust in your sickle and gather the clusters of grapes from the vine of the earth, for its grapes (staphylai | σταφυλαί | nom pl fem) are ripe.”
for each tree is known by its own fruit. For they do not gather figs from thornbushes, nor do they pick grapes (staphylēn | σταφυλήν | acc sg fem) from brambles.
and their dead bodies will lie in the street of the great city, which symbolically is called Sodom, or Egypt, where also their Lord was crucified (estaurōthē | ἐσταυρώθη | aor pass ind 3 sg).
But may I never boast, except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has (estaurōtai | ἐσταύρωται | perf pass ind 3 sg) been (estaurōtai | ἐσταύρωται | perf pass ind 3 sg) crucified (estaurōtai | ἐσταύρωται | perf pass ind 3 sg) to me, and I to the world.
And those who (estaurōsan | ἐσταύρωσαν | aor act ind 3 pl) belong to Christ Jesus have (estaurōsan | ἐσταύρωσαν | aor act ind 3 pl) crucified (estaurōsan | ἐσταύρωσαν | aor act ind 3 pl) the flesh with its passions and desires.
O foolish Galatians! Who has bewitched you, before whose eyes Jesus Christ was publicly exhibited as crucified (estaurōmenos | ἐσταυρωμένος | perf pass ptcp nom sg masc)?
For indeed he was crucified (estaurōthē | ἐσταυρώθη | aor pass ind 3 sg) in weakness, but he lives by the power of God. For indeed we are weak in him, but we will live with him by the power of God toward you.
None of the rulers of this age understood it, for if they had, they (estaurōsan | ἐσταύρωσαν | aor act ind 3 pl) would not have (estaurōsan | ἐσταύρωσαν | aor act ind 3 pl) crucified (estaurōsan | ἐσταύρωσαν | aor act ind 3 pl) the Lord of glory.
