This is the one about whom it stands written, ‘Behold, I send my messenger (angelon | ἄγγελον | acc sg masc) ahead of you, who will prepare your way before you.’
and said to him, “If you are the Son of God, throw yourself down, for it stands written: ‘He will command his angels (angelois | ἀγγέλοις | dat pl masc) concerning you,’ and, ‘on their hands they will hold you up, lest you strike your foot against a stone.’”
After they had gone, an angel (angelos | ἄγγελος | nom sg masc) of the Lord appeared in a dream to Joseph, saying, “Rise, take the child and his mother, flee to Egypt, and stay there until I tell you; for Herod is going to search for the child to destroy him.”
But as he pondered this, behold, an angel (angelos | ἄγγελος | nom sg masc) of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife; for that which has been conceived in her is by the Holy Spirit.
Mary Magdalene went and reported (angellousa | ἀγγέλλουσα | pres act ptcp nom sg fem) to the disciples, “I have seen the Master!” and she told them that he had said these things to her.
Now this is the message (angelia | ἀγγελία | nom sg fem) that we have heard from him and are proclaiming to you: God is light, and there is absolutely no darkness in him.
