Sober up as you ought, and stop sinning; for some have no knowledge (agnōsian | ἀγνωσίαν | acc sg fem) of God. I say this to your shame.

The former proclaim Christ out of a sense of hostility, not sincerely (hagnōs | ἁγνῶς | adverb), intending to increase my distress while I am in prison.

But I am afraid, however, that just as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, so your minds may be led astray from the simplicity and purity (hagnotētos | ἁγνότητος | gen sg fem) that is in Christ.

by purity (hagnotēti | ἁγνότητι | dat sg fem), by knowledge, by patience, by kindness, by the Holy Spirit, by sincere love;

And everyone who has this hope in him purifies himself, just as he is pure (hagnos | ἁγνός | nom sg masc).

when they observe with respect the purity (hagnēn | ἁγνήν | acc sg fem) of your life.

But the wisdom from above is first of all pure (hagnē | ἁγνή | nom sg fem), then peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, free from prejudice and hypocrisy.

to be self-controlled, pure (hagnas | ἁγνάς | acc pl fem), working at home, kind, submissive to their own husbands that the word of God may not be blasphemed.

Do not lay hands on anyone quickly or share in the sins of others; keep yourself pure (hagnon | ἁγνόν | acc sg masc).

Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure (hagna | ἁγνά | nom pl neut), whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, let your mind dwell on these things.
