He said to them, “But now let the one who has a moneybag take it, and likewise a knapsack. And the one who has no sword, let him sell his cloak and buy (agorasatō | ἀγορασάτω | aor act imperative 3 sg) one.
Likewise, just as it was in the days of Lot: they were eating, they were drinking, they were buying (ēgorazon | ἠγόραζον | imperf act ind 3 pl), they were selling, they were planting, they were building;
And another said, ‘I (ēgorasa | ἠγόρασα | aor act ind 1 sg) have (ēgorasa | ἠγόρασα | aor act ind 1 sg) bought (ēgorasa | ἠγόρασα | aor act ind 1 sg) five yoke of oxen, and I am going to try them out. I ask you, have me excused.’
But one after another they all began to make excuses. The first said to him, ‘I (ēgorasa | ἠγόρασα | aor act ind 1 sg) bought (ēgorasa | ἠγόρασα | aor act ind 1 sg) a field, and I must go out to see it. I ask you, have me excused.’
But he said to them, “You give them something to eat.” They said, “We have no more than five loaves and two fish, unless we go and buy (agorasōmen | ἀγοράσωμεν | aor act subj 1 pl) food for all these people.”
And when the Sabbath was over, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James, and Salome bought (ēgorasan | ἠγόρασαν | aor act ind 3 pl) spices so that they might go and anoint him.
So he brought (agorasas | ἀγοράσας | aor act ptcp nom sg masc) a linen shroud, and taking him down, he wrapped him in the linen shroud and laid him in a tomb, which had been hewn out of rock; and he rolled a stone across the entrance of the tomb.
Then they went into Jerusalem. And entering the temple, he began to drive out those who were selling and those who were buying (agorazontas | ἀγοράζοντας | pres act ptcp acc pl masc) in the temple; and he overturned the tables of the money changers and the chairs of those who were selling pigeons,
But he answered them, saying, “You give them something to eat.” And they said to him, “Should (agorasōmen | ἀγοράσωμεν | aor act subj 1 pl) we (agorasōmen | ἀγοράσωμεν | aor act subj 1 pl) go and buy (agorasōmen | ἀγοράσωμεν | aor act subj 1 pl) two hundred denarii worth of bread and give it to them to eat?”
Send them away so they can go into the surrounding hamlets and villages and buy (agorasōsin | ἀγοράσωσιν | aor act subj 3 pl) for themselves something to eat.”
