Then Jesus said to them, “I tell you the truth, there is no one who has left home or wife or siblings (adelphous | ἀδελφούς | acc pl masc) or parents or children, for the sake of the kingdom of God

“Be on your guard! If your brother (adelphos | ἀδελφός | nom sg masc) sins, rebuke him, and if he repents, forgive him.

(for I have five brothers) (adelphous | ἀδελφούς | acc pl masc), that he might warn them so that they might not come as well into this place of torment.’

We had to celebrate and rejoice, because this brother (adelphos | ἀδελφός | nom sg masc) of yours, was dead and has come alive; he was lost and has been found.’”

The servant said to him, ‘Your brother (adelphos | ἀδελφός | nom sg masc) has come, and your father has killed the fattened calf, he received him back safe and sound.’

“If anyone comes to me and does not hate his own father and mother, and wife and children, and brothers (adelphous | ἀδελφούς | acc pl masc) and sisters, and even his own life, he cannot be my disciple.

Then he also said to the one who had invited him, “When you give a luncheon or a dinner do not invite your friends, or your brothers (adelphous | ἀδελφούς | acc pl masc), or or rich neighbors, in case they also invite you in return, and there would be a repayment to you.

Someone from the crowd said to him, “Teacher, tell my brother (adelphō | ἀδελφῷ | dat sg masc) to divide the family inheritance with me.”

In response he said to them, “Those who hear and do the word of God are my mother and my brothers.” (adelphoi | ἀδελφοί | nom pl masc)

It was reported to him, “Your mother and your brothers (adelphoi | ἀδελφοί | nom pl masc) are standing outside, wanting to see you.”
