And going on a little farther, he saw James the son of Zebedee and John his brother (adelphon | ἀδελφόν | acc sg masc), his who also who were in their boat mending nets.
As Jesus was going alongside the Sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and Andrew, the brother (adelphon | ἀδελφόν | acc sg masc) of Simon, casting a net into the lake, for they were for fishermen.
Then Jesus said to them, “Do not be afraid. Go, tell my brothers (adelphois | ἀδελφοῖς | dat pl masc) to depart for Galilee, and they will see me there.”
And the King will answer them, saying, ‘I tell you the truth, insofar as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers (adelphōn | ἀδελφῶν | gen pl masc), you did it to me.’
Now there were seven brothers (adelphoi | ἀδελφοί | nom pl masc) among us; the first one married and died, and since he had no children, he left his wife to his brother (adelphō | ἀδελφῷ | dat sg masc).
They said, “Teacher, Moses said, ‘If a man dies having no children, his brother (adelphos | ἀδελφός | nom sg masc) must marry the widow and raise up children for his brother.’ (adelphō | ἀδελφῷ | dat sg masc)
