how will we escape if we neglect such a great salvation (sōtērias | σωτηρίας | gen sg fem)? Which at first was declared by the Lord, and it was attested to us by those who heard,

Are they not all ministering spirits sent out to serve for the sake of those who are to inherit salvation (sōtērian | σωτηρίαν | acc sg fem)?

and that from childhood you have known the sacred writings, which are able to make you wise for salvation (sōtērian | σωτηρίαν | acc sg fem) through faith that is in Christ Jesus.

On account of this I am enduring all things for the sake of the elect, that they also may experience the salvation (sōtērias | σωτηρίας | gen sg fem) that is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory.

But we ought always to thank God for you, brothers loved by the Lord, because God chose you as first fruits for salvation (sōtērian | σωτηρίαν | acc sg fem), by sanctification of the Spirit and belief in the truth.

For God has not appointed us for wrath, but to obtain salvation (sōtērias | σωτηρίας | gen sg fem) through our Lord Jesus Christ,

but let us who belong to the daylight stay sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet the hope of salvation (sōtērias | σωτηρίας | gen sg fem).

So then, my dear friends, just as you have always obeyed, not only in my presence but even more now in my absence, continue to work out your salvation (sōtērian | σωτηρίαν | acc sg fem) with fear and trembling,

and are in no way frightened by your opponents. This is a sign of destruction for them, but of (sōtērias | σωτηρίας | gen sg fem) salvation (sōtērias | σωτηρίας | gen sg fem) for you — and that from God.

For I know that this will turn out for my deliverance (sōtērian | σωτηρίαν | acc sg fem) through your prayers and the help of the Spirit of Jesus Christ.
