As it is written, “He has distributed generously, he has given to the poor; his righteousness endures forever.”

in whose case the god of this world (aiōnos | αἰῶνος | gen sg masc) has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.

Now these events happened to them as examples, but were written down as warnings for us, on whom the end of the ages (aiōnōn | αἰώνων | gen pl masc) has come.

Therefore, if food causes my brother to stumble, again I will never eat meat, lest I cause one of them to stumble.

Let no one deceive himself. If someone among you thinks he is wise in this age (aiōni | αἰῶνι | dat sg masc), let him become foolish so that he may become wise.

None of the rulers of this age (aiōnos | αἰῶνος | gen sg masc) understood it, for if they had, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.

Rather, we speak the wisdom of God; a wisdom that was hidden in mystery and that God had determined before the ages (aiōnōn | αἰώνων | gen pl masc) for our glory.

However, we do speak wisdom among those who are mature, although it is not the wisdom of this age (aiōnos | αἰῶνος | gen sg masc) or of the rulers of this age (aiōnos | αἰῶνος | gen sg masc), who are doomed to perish.

Where is the wise Where is the scholar? Where is the brilliant debater of this age (aiōnos | αἰῶνος | gen sg masc)? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world?
