For many of those who had unclean (akatharta | ἀκάθαρτα | acc pl neut) spirits, crying with a loud voice, came out; and many paralyzed and lame were healed.
A great number of people from the towns around Jerusalem also came, bringing the sick and those tormented by evil (akathartōn | ἀκαθάρτων | gen pl neut) spirits, and they were healed, all of them.
“When the unclean (akatharton | ἀκάθαρτον | nom sg neut) spirit departs from a person, it travels through waterless places seeking rest, and not finding one; then it says, ‘I will return to my house from which I departed.’
While he was on his way, the demon threw him down and convulsed him. But Jesus rebuked the unclean (akathartō | ἀκαθάρτῳ | dat sg neut) spirit, healed the child, and gave him back to his father.
For Jesus had commanded the unclean (akathartō | ἀκαθάρτῳ | dat sg neut) spirit to come out of the man; for many times it had seized him and he was kept under guard and bound with chains and shackles, yet he would break his bonds and be driven by the demon into the desert.
They had come to hear him speak and to be healed of their diseases; and those who were troubled with unclean (akathartōn | ἀκαθάρτων | gen pl neut) spirits were healed.
Astonishment came over them all, and they said to one another, “What is this teaching? For with authority and power he commands the unclean (akathartois | ἀκαθάρτοις | dat pl neut) spirits and they come out!”
When Jesus saw that a crowd was quickly gathering, he rebuked the unclean (akathartō | ἀκαθάρτῳ | dat sg neut) spirit, saying to it, “Mute and deaf spirit, I command you, come out of him and never enter him again!”
