And do not take part in the fruitless (akarpois | ἀκάρποις | dat pl neut) deeds of darkness but instead expose them,

For if I pray in a tongue, my spirit prays but my mind is unproductive (akarpos | ἄκαρπος | nom sg masc).

but the cares of the world, the deceitfulness of wealth, and the desires for many other things desires come in and choke the word, and it becomes barren (akarpos | ἄκαρπος | nom sg masc). it becomes

As for the one who was sown among thorns, this is the one who hears the message, but worldly anxiety and the deception of wealth choke the message and it becomes unfruitful (akarpos | ἄκαρπος | nom sg masc).

So Jesus came out, wearing the crown of thorns (akanthinon | ἀκάνθινον | acc sg masc) and the purple robe; and Pilate said to them, “Look, the man!”

And they clothed him in purple; and twisting some thorns (akanthinon | ἀκάνθινον | acc sg masc) into a crown, they placed it on him.

But if it produces thorns (akanthas | ἀκάνθας | acc pl fem) and thistles, it is useless and about to be cursed; its fate is to be burned.

And the soldiers twisted some thorns (akanthōn | ἀκανθῶν | gen pl fem) into a crown and placed it on his head, and they threw a purple robe around him.

As for what fell among the thorns (akanthas | ἀκάνθας | acc pl fem) — these are the ones who hear, but as they go on their way they are choked by the cares and riches and pleasures of life, and they do not bring fruit to maturity.

Other seed fell in the middle of thorns (akanthōn | ἀκανθῶν | gen pl fem), and when the thorns (akanthai | ἄκανθαι | nom pl fem) came up with it, they choked it.
